About Ava
As someone who has taken AP high school courses in the past 5 years, I understand how challenging they have become. However, because I have recent experience with the mechanics and requirements of certain AP courses, such as APUSH, AP Language, and AP European history and all of the different writing pieces each of them require, I believe I can be a tremendous help! Through a 30 or 60 minute session, I believe I can help advance your writing to the top level of achievement while also teaching you how to implement the techniques on your own in an environment like a timed essay!

Hello! My lessons will be following a mildly unconventional set-up; however, I believe this will be helpful for students who would prefer to work with a tutor from the comfort of their own home! My lessons will function through Zoom and Google Docs, in which we will first discuss the topic of whatever writing you are working on. Then, we will both individually read the piece and reflect together on what changes could be made to improve the writing. Next, a period of time will be awarded for the student to work as I supervise and add helpful comments or corrections along the way. Finally, we will read the piece once more and determine any final errors made and discuss what small leftover changes should be completed!
