About Charlotte

My name is Charlotte. I am currently in the process of completing my Master's of Education. I have a Bachelor's degree in History and Anthropology, at Maynooth University. I have had a keen interest in History all the way up through school, which influenced my decision in continuing to study history into my third-level education. I am currently teaching History, CSPE, and Politics and Society in a secondary school in Dublin at a Junior and Leaving Certificate level. My dream is to become a teacher; it makes me happy to know that I am helping others. I have strong subject knowledge, effective communication and interpersonal skills, and a passion for fostering learning. I am dedicated to getting my students where they need to be in order to achieve all of their potential and goals.

About the lesson

The first session would involve getting to know the student, how they feel about the subject and where they believe they are having trouble/need to improve/ need to revise. Based on this meeting, a plan will be created. This plan can be adapted at any time to aid the students needs (class test, class essay). The plan will be catered to the student individually in the aim to get them comfortable and help them develop confidence in the subject.
I would correct exam papers, essays and any other pieces for the course that the student would like to review, I would also work on the idea of time management in an exam, which is vital in helping the student get the most of their exam.
