About Joseph
Hey guys! I'm Joseph, my Chinese name is 何家丞 (He Jia Cheng). I’m an international student from Taiwan here in Leeds for uni to study music. I enjoy playing the piano and just music a lot and consume a lot of media related with music, especially from films, video games, anime, and whatnot. You can always talk to me about these stuff and I’ll be glad to respond, and I can also teach some Chinese related stuff through these topics as well!
I want to teach Chinese Mandarin to people because I feel like it is a very useful language to learn for the future, though it is very difficult and challenging, it can be taught in a way that makes it a lot more interesting, rather than being hard and daunting for those who want to learn. I hope that it will be a good opportunity for an exchange between different cultures and linguistics through teaching Chinese Mandarin, students will be able to learn more about Chinese and Asian culture in general, and will gain new knowledge and skills that can make you grow as an individual.

As a native speaker of Chinese Mandarin from Taiwan, I can teach both simplified and traditional Chinese Mandarin. This includes reading, writing, speaking, and listening. the format of the class will be more like chatting, students won't need to feel pressured in learning.
My methodology in teaching is personalised and adapts to the student's requirements, will approach learning in more casual yet informative ways (e.g. colloquial language, sharing cultural topics) to maintain students' interest in the subject.
