About Charlotte
I have experience being on placement working with the whole class, smaller ability groups and one to one with individuals. I have planned and implemented my own lessons taking into consideration the needs of the learners and how best to meet they needs. I also ran my own homework club after school during my sixth year at secondary school. During this club, I supported younger year groups (mainly first and second years) to develop their subject content knowledge and understanding.

My teaching method is based upon the CfE Experiences and Outcomes and the subsequent Benchmarks. I use these documents as the foundation to which I plan all my lessons. I use 3 main stages within all of my lessons: opening phase, main teaching/activity and a closing phase/plenary. I try to make lessons as engaging as possible and I am continuously developing my teaching methods and strategies for learning.
I believe in good collaborative work so that learners can be involved in the planning and assessment of their own work. I would work along side learners to discuss what they need help with the most and tailor my teaching to suit those areas.
