About Jennifer

My name is Jennifer and I have always enjoyed studying English, it has always been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.
When I was a child, I dreamed of studying at a language school, but I couldn't afford it, so I started studying on my own.
I love to sing and that was something that motivated me a lot, because I watched Disney movies and sang along with the characters, looked for the lyrics of the songs and saw the translation and pronunciation and that was something that helped a lot in my learning process , because I considered English as something everyday, so that made sense to me and that's why today I use the active methodology in my classes.
Today, I am a student of Letters (English and Portuguese) and I am completely passionate about teaching and about this area of communication and languages. I love meeting new people and learning about other cultures.
I believe that learning a language is not just any thing, it is something magical that opens our eyes to a new world, connects us and brings us closer.

About the lesson

For my class approach, I like to use two teaching methods, the active method and the Freirian method.
My objective during the class is to break with that traditional teaching, which is just sitting and listening and taking notes, in my conception and experience, I don't believe that this methodology generates results during the student's learning process.
In my class, the student is the protagonist of his story and I am the guide on this journey to acquire knowledge, because I believe that only education is capable of bringing freedom.
I work with interaction during the class, that is, the student debates, analyzes and manages to bring what was studied to his reality, generating greater ease for the understanding of the subject.
