About Jorge
I am a student at the RCSMM specializing in Composition. I have been composing works within the classical tradition for several years (lately close to the impressionist style) and training in this style, but with an eye to the future. Also, I compose pop / indie genre songs for a band where I'm a keyboard player. I also handle working in DAWs like Reaper and using virtual instruments.

Although everything in music seems to be surrounded by theory, I attach great importance to the fact that composition is an incredibly personal activity. And so, I try to guide the student to achieve the sound they are looking for, without restricting their creativity. However, as musical language can sometimes not be as intuitive as others, I see it necessary to reinforce the student in the theoretical aspects that he sees as necessary. Theory is important but only to boost creativity and give the student real freedom to translate the music in his head into notes on paper.
