I teach poetry, literature, and creative writing through a student-centered approach that encourages curiosity, imagination, and confidence. My method combines reading, discussion, and creative exercises so that learners not only understand texts, but also find their own voice as writers. I focus on making literature feel alive and relevant, connecting themes and emotions in the texts to the students’ own experiences.
A typical lesson begins with a short warm-up activity, such as a creative prompt, a short poem, or a discussion question. Then we explore a text together, looking at language, meaning, and literary devices in a simple and engaging way. After that, students complete a guided writing activity where they apply what they’ve learned. Each lesson ends with reflection and positive feedback to help them grow and feel proud of their progress.
What sets me apart as a tutor is my supportive and encouraging teaching style. I create a safe, friendly space where students feel comfortable sharing their ideas and expressing themselves. I adapt each lesson to the student’s interests, level, and learning pace, making literature and writing enjoyable rather than stressful.
My lessons are designed for young learners and teenagers at beginner to intermediate levels. They are ideal for students who want to improve their reading and writing skills, prepare for school assignments, or simply discover the joy of poetry and storytelling. No previous experience is required—just curiosity and a willingness to explore language and creativity.
