About Saige
I have loved to read since I was in elementary school and am of the belief that there are very few things in life better than a good book.
I started creatively writing when I was twelve years old and have not stopped since; I am currently completing my third novel
Upon entering college at UC Davis, I made the decision to follow my passion and become an English major. Since then my skills in literature have only improved, making me an ideal tutor for anyone hoping to learn--and love--anything and everything related to writing and reading.

My lessons for lower level students consists of helping them through essays, pointing out places for improvement and ensuring that students learn from my critiques, rather than simply watching as I edit their essays for them. For reading comprehension, I request that students pick texts of their choice that they wish to delve more deeply. We will explore these texts together, spending special time on any passages that the students have trouble understanding. Throughout all of this, I hope to have fun with my students and grow their own love for literature.
I believe that enjoyment of a skill is essential in one's quest to improve at it, which is why a typical lesson will consist of students finding what they love about a text and, through my help, extrapolating upon it to gain a more full understanding of the text as a whole, improving their reading comprehension in the process.
I wish to share my love of literature with students, planting a seed within them that will grow into something beautiful, lasting them throughout their lives.
My lessons are aimed for anyone below the college level, from kindergarteners all the way to the end of high school.
