About Héctor

I have a degree in physics, with masters in theoretical physics and research in artificial intelligence. After working for a few years as a data scientist, I have reoriented my career towards what I have always been passionate about: music. Now, I am a student at the School of Creative Music in composition for audiovisual media (film scoring, advertising, videogames ...), having been ranked first in the entrance exams for all specialties. I have been a live musician for more than 10 years in various bands, styles and roles. My main instrument is the piano, but I also play the violin and bagpipes as passionate about folk that I am.

I know firsthand how it is to feel stuck with your learning and your creative process, not knowing where to go and getting frustrated. But don't be discouraged, it has a solution and we can work on it. If what you need instead is to understand a concept in detail to use it in your compositions or learn new composition methods, rest assured that we can make a good duet.

I have extensive experience as a teacher of piano, music theory, harmony, improvisation, languages, programming, machine learning, big data, and physics and chemistry subjects for a wide range of ages. I have also worked as an artistic producer.

About the lesson

My methodology is based on the belief that the most important thing is to detect students' needs to help them develop themselves in the direction they want, adapting the learning process to their skills and personalities.
