About Presley

Hi! My name is Presley, and I’m a student at Chico State studying to become an elementary school teacher. Teaching has always been my dream, and I absolutely love working with kids and helping them feel more confident in school.

I’m patient, positive, and super encouraging. I know that learning can sometimes feel frustrating, so I always try to create a calm, supportive space where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. I truly believe every student is capable — sometimes they just need someone to explain things in a way that makes sense to them.

A little about me — I have a cat, a younger brother, and I love going to the beach whenever I can. My favorite colors are pink and blue! Being around kids, whether it’s through my family or my studies, has helped me become responsible, understanding, and caring.
I want students (and parents!) to feel confident choosing me as a tutor. I’m dependable, hardworking, and genuinely care about helping students grow — not just in their grades, but in their self-confidence too.

About the lesson

Hi! My name is Presley, and I’m a 20-year-old college student studying to become an elementary school teacher. I’ve always loved working with kids, and tutoring is such a fun way for me to help students grow and gain confidence. I can tutor students from elementary school up through 8th grade in subjects like math, reading, writing, and general study skills.

My teaching style is fun, engaging, and supportive. I know that school can sometimes feel overwhelming, so I try to make lessons feel relaxed and encouraging. I break down harder topics into simple steps and explain them in ways that actually make sense. I also like to use examples students can relate to. If needed, I’ll create slideshows, worksheets, or extra practice activities to help reinforce what we’re learning.

A typical lesson with me starts with a quick review, then we go over the new topic together, practice it step-by-step, and finish with independent practice and a recap. I always make sure students feel comfortable asking questions.

What sets me apart is my energy, patience, and the fact that I genuinely care. My goal isn’t just better grades it’s helping students feel confident and capable.
