About Karen

Hi, I’m Karen — a passionate and reliable tutor with over 5 years of experience helping high school students succeed in Math, Science, and Biology. I hold a Bachelor of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of British Columbia (UBC), and I’m looking forward to making learning clear, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. I am confident in my ability to build strong rapport with students, break down complex ideas into understandable steps, and support academic growth with patience and professionalism. Whether you’re preparing for university, catching up, or aiming to boost your confidence, I’m here to help you reach your goal!

About the lesson

I offer personalized 1-on-1 online tutoring for high school students, specializing in Math, Science, and Biology.

University prep: I help students in Grades 8–12 boost their grades and build a strong foundation for post-secondary programs to help you stay ahead and feel confident.

Science & Biology support: Need help with general Science or Biology 11/12? I break down tough concepts into clear, manageable steps to support understanding and long-term retention.

I can help you with:
● Math 8–12
● Biology 11/12 and general Science
● Study skills, test prep, and long-term success strategies

How we’ll work together:
Sessions are online via Zoom, using a shared virtual whiteboard. Each lesson is tailored to your learning style, interests, and course material so you can feel confident and prepared.
