About Weijing

I’m currently pursuing my master degree at the University of Sydney. I have a deep passion for Mandarin and a strong interest in Chinese culture. I realized that language is not just a tool for communication-it’s a bridge to understanding and appreciating the unique aspects of different cultures.
I chose to become a Mandarin teacher because I want to help more people discover the beauty of the language and the richness of Chinese culture. As a native speaker, I’m well aware of the challenges that come with learning Mandarin, and I’m committed to making the learning process as enjoyable and accessible as possible for my students.
In my teaching, I like to incorporate elements of Chinese history, culture, and art, so that students not only learn the language but also get a deeper understanding of the culture behind it.
I believe that learning Mandarin should be more than just memorizing words and grammar—it should be a fun and rewarding journey that opens up new perspectives.
I look forward to meeting you in class and exploring the wonders of Mandarin together. Let’s make language learning an exciting adventure!

About the lesson

• Your techniques and teaching methodology: through engaging interactive activities (I believe that learning a language is not just for exams but for confident use in real-life situations.) ; design a variety of teaching content to help you master Mandarin in a relaxed and enjoyable environment; Through learning Mandarin with me, you can also explore traditional Chinese culture, customs, and historical stories.
• Typical length of a lesson: 40 minutes
• Your qualifications/experience as a tutor: I hold a Mandarin proficiency certificate, and my pronunciation is standard. In my classes, you will not only learn accurate Mandarin pronunciation and grammar but also improve your listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
• Who are your lessons for (level, age, etc.): whatever beginner or who are looking to further enhance Mandarin skills
