About Andrew

I am a specialist tutor with a strong academic record — Graduating with honours from the UQ School of Law in 2023. Drawing from several years of experience working with large groups, private bookings and after-school college classrooms — I provide a unique service to my clients helping them to holistically improve their academic outlook. I approach each student as an individual with their own unique strengths, weaknesses, learning styles and interests. I adjust accordingly to my clients needs, seeking to provide the best service for each individual. I believe that education is best valued and appreciated by students when they find purpose and enjoyment in their activities. For this reason, I seek to make every subject as engaging and enjoyable as possible, and attempt to demonstrate real world application to whatever we are studying.

About the lesson

From high achievers looking for an academic edge, to students struggling with their grades and frustrated with school — I work with a wide range of university, primary and secondary students. I am particularly passionate about helping students struggling to learn effectively in their classroom environment and have broad experience assisting students with a number of learning disorders ranging from mild to severe.

In addition to providing holistic academic support to students from years 2-12, I tutor International Baccalaureate subjects (IB), including TOK, and specialise in preparing primary and secondary students for external assessments, scholarship applications and selective school entrance exams including: NAPLAN, American SAT, and HAST /entry to Brisbane State High School.

Perfect! I highly recommend Andrew to anyone looking for support with law studies, especially if you have ADHD. He is extremely patient and genuinely takes the time to adapt to your individual learning style, no matter what level you’re at. He’s incredibly knowledgeable and explains things clearly. Every session is really thorough and structured in a way that actually makes sense and builds your confidence. I’m so grateful for the way he teaches as it’s made a huge difference for me.

Andrew tutored our daughter Rosemary in Constitutional law. Andrew was so responsive to our message about tutoring and followed up with an initial call. Then he straight away booked time to tutor as the exams were only a couple of days away Our daughter thought she may fail and Andrew put in so much time and effort with her and she ended up getting a Credit. Andrew is by far the best tutor we have ever employed for my son. Andrew is very professional - he is always well prepared and knows the Queensland Education curriculum very well. Andrew has a very good rapport with my son, and has suceeded in keeping my son interested and engaged in preparing assessments, revising for exams, and improving my son's study skills.

Andrew has excellent insight into neurodiversity. I believe this is a very important reason Andrew has been so successful with my son.

Andrew has worked with my son in all of his Year 12 courses, including English, Maths, Religion, Biology, and Legal Studies.

I interviewed and trialled several potential tutors before deciding to employ Andrew. Choosing Andrew was the best decision we made for my son. I only wish we found him earlier! Andrew's calm nature, and immense patience was exactly what my son needed.
