About Darrel

I’m a calm, grounded and neurodivergent life coach who understands first-hand how overwhelming the world can feel when your brain works differently.

As an AuDHD adult and amputee with years of experience mentoring neurodivergent and disabled individuals, I bring a unique blend of lived experience, emotional intelligence, and practical strategies that genuinely work in real life not just in theory.

My approach is warm, structured and completely judgement-free. Many of my clients come to me after feeling misunderstood, dismissed or overwhelmed in other settings. I focus on helping you feel safe, heard and supported from the very first session.

I specialise in emotional regulation, burnout recovery, overwhelm, sensory stress, confidence rebuilding and creating systems that actually fit your energy, your environment and your neurotype. Whether you struggle with routines, motivation, shutdowns, frustration, masking or simply feeling “too much,” I help you break things down into manageable, realistic steps you can sustain.

Alongside my lived experience, I’ve completed formal training in Equality & Diversity, giving me a strong grounding in inclusive practice and the real-world challenges ND and disabled people face.

Above all, my coaching style is compassionate, practical and tailored to you. My goal is not to change who you are, but to help you understand yourself, regulate more consistently, build confidence, and create a life that finally feels manageable and genuinely yours. If you'd like to get a feel for how others have experienced working with me, you can read genuine feedback from people I've supported over on the NeuroHub UK FB group.

My coaching style is calm, structured, and completely judgement-free. I specialise in supporting neurodivergent and disabled adults (ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, anxiety, overwhelm, burnout, chronic stress, emotional regulation challenges), using a blend of lived experience, trauma-informed practice and practical tools that actually work in real life.

I don’t force rigid systems or “productivity hacks.” Instead, I help you build approaches that match your brain, your energy, and your environment so you can make consistent progress without burnout. My coaching methodology I start by understanding where you are mentally, emotionally and practically right now.

I listen first, which most ND clients tell me they’ve never truly had before. I help you break big challenges into small, safe steps. I use emotional regulation skills, cognitive reframing, sensory awareness and ND logic to help you feel grounded and understood. Every session is collaborative: we build solutions together, not “to” you.

I work at your pace no pressure, no judgement, no masking required. You leave each session with clarity, structure and one or two achievable actions. Typical session length Most sessions last 45–60 minutes, depending on your energy and needs that day. I also offer shorter 30-minute sessions for clients who are overwhelmed or burnt out.

My qualifications & experience I bring a combination of: Lived experience as an AuDHD adult Lived experience as an amputee navigating disability, resilience and accessibility Years of ND mentoring (1:1 guidance, emotional regulation, burnout support, structure-building) Experience supporting ND adults, parents, and clients in complex emotional situations Professional insight from accessibility & inclusion advocacy A recent qualification in Equality & Diversity, giving me a solid grounding in inclusive practice, unconscious bias, accessibility needs and the realities ND and disabled people face Calm, emotionally intelligent communication that comes from real life not theory Everything I teach is something I’ve personally used or developed from years of supporting neurodivergent and disabled individuals through overwhelm, sensory stress, emotional shutdowns, burnout, relationship strain and daily functioning challenges.

Who my sessions are for Adults (18+) People with ADHD, Autism, AuDHD, anxiety, dyslexia, dyspraxia or other ND traits Disabled adults navigating extra barriers in daily life Anyone struggling with emotional regulation, overwhelm, burnout or inconsistent routines Parents of ND children needing support with communication, structure and calm strategies Adults who want clarity, confidence, and someone who finally gets it My role is to help you feel heard, supported and understood and to give you practical strategies that genuinely fit your real life.
