About the lesson

Hello.

My name is Sylvain Bourgois, I am 42 years old and I have been teaching for 20 years in school support courses and academic coaching of excellence.

This job is obvious to me because I have always liked to teach, lead a course, be connected to my students and understand how to put myself at their service to progress.

I worked for students in great difficulty for whom I helped to rebuild the missing learning bases sometimes since the beginning of college. I developed their self-esteem by giving them the most basic keys but poorly explained in class, forgotten over the years.

I have helped parents and intelligent students, but with academic difficulties, especially in adolescence, to discover their motivation profile, their types of intelligence and how to best exploit it, especially in mathematics.

I accompanied students in areas such as understanding school rules, listening to relationship difficulties with teachers or rules, developing student motivation through the sense of work at school to build a rich future of possibilities.

I worked for students with a very promising academic potential to help them achieve a solid level of training and the best results. I have thus accompanied many students towards higher education, in particular the preparatory classes (MP, PC, etc.)

I took the time to help students in their post-baccalaureate orientation by learning about training courses, diploma courses, professional opportunities in accordance with their projects as well as with the social expectations of their parents.

My parents of students were sometimes secondary school teachers, middle school or high school principals who had entrusted me with the schooling of their children. Demanding and results-oriented parents have placed their trust in me by noticing the positive influence of my lessons on their children.
Since 2017, I have gradually developed my online courses to meet the needs of certain students.

This way of exercising allows me in particular to be more available during the week and especially on weekends, to be sometimes more flexible on the schedules to respond to urgent requests.

Working online makes it possible to do the course in a lively way while allowing students to discover many online resources to continue working independently, to train and even to evaluate themselves: video lessons, online corrected exercises.

At each lesson, in agreement with the student, I can send an email with course reminders, exercises with the answer key, supervised homework topics.

I have a professional Wacom graphic tablet that allows me to share my screen to animate the course and I simply work via Skype.

I created a self-employed human services company to allow my students and their parents to benefit from more advantageous rates.

I have been a simple license holder since 2012.

In addition, I decided to live in a rural area, on a farm where my wife and I take care of beehives and local black bees by developing a small educational garden to transmit respect for life and the evolution towards a mode more sober life, accessible to all.
