About Pat

I am a certified Special Education teacher in New York State with several years of experience working with middle and high school students in both general education and special education settings. Throughout my career, I have helped students improve their academic performance, develop stronger study habits, and build confidence in their abilities.

I specialize in working with students who may need additional support, including those with learning disabilities, ADHD, executive functioning challenges, or gaps in foundational skills. About the lesson

Teaching methods:
-a combination of direct instruction, guided practice, and positive reinforcement
-encourage discussion, critical thinking, and problem-solving rather than simply providing answers

A Typical Lesson:
A typical lesson begins with a brief review of previous material and an assessment of the student's current understanding. We then work on the lesson objective through instruction, examples, and guided practice. Students are given opportunities to apply what they have learned independently while I provide feedback and support. I end each session with a summary of key concepts and recommendations for continued practice.
