About Mai Thy

Xin Chào! I’m Thy, a native Vietnamese speaker passionate about teaching and helping students connect with the language and culture. I provide structured, engaging lessons tailored to each student's goals and learning style, focusing on practical, everyday Vietnamese that builds confidence in speaking, listening, reading, and comprehension.

I also have experience working with children as a Registered Behavioral Technician (RBT), which has strengthened my ability to teach patiently, adapt to different learning styles, and make lessons fun and effective for learners of all ages.

Whether your goal is travel, family communication, or personal growth, I create a supportive, focused, and effective learning environment. With clear explanations, interactive practice, and patient guidance, I help students gain confidence, achieve their goals, and unlock the full potential of their Vietnamese skills.

Learning Vietnamese with me is more than just learning words—it’s about connecting with a rich and vibrant culture, understanding everyday life, and gaining real confidence in speaking and comprehension. I teach in a patient, friendly, and practical way, focusing on lessons that are engaging, easy to follow, and tailored to each student’s pace and goals. My approach combines clear explanations, real-life examples, and interactive practice, so you can start using Vietnamese in meaningful ways from day one. Whether your goal is travel, connecting with family, or personal growth, I am here to guide you every step of the way and make learning Vietnamese a fun, rewarding, and inspiring experience.

[Online/Zoom Session: 21/hour
Online/Zoom Group session (2–3 students): $55/hour total
In-person Session: 22/hour+ travel fee: $0.35/mile]

Perfect! Thy is an awesome tutor! She is fun to talk to and very personable. She creates customized lesson plans that really into account your level of understanding/speaking.
