About Jaired

My Approach: Natural & Practical

I am a bilingual speaker with a passion for helping others bridge the gap between "textbook Spanish" and how people actually speak. My method isn't about boring drills; it's about active engagement. I focus on the "Natural Acquisition" approach: we learn through meaningful conversation, just as you learned your first language. I provide the structure and the vocabulary, and you provide the voice.

What a Typical Session Looks Like

Even though this is my passion project, I treat your time with professional care. Every session is organized to maximize your progress:

The Warm-up (10 min): Relaxed conversation to "unlock" your Spanish brain.

The Deep Dive (30 min): We discuss a specific topic—anything from current events and culture to "what would you do" scenarios—using real-world vocabulary.

The Refinement (15 min): We review the notes I took during our talk. We'll fix those recurring grammar "glitches" and polish your pronunciation.

The Takeaway (5 min): We wrap up with personalized feedback on the highlights of our session. Most importantly, we’ll decide together on the topics of interest for our next class. Whether it’s a hobby, a specific professional scenario, or a cultural deep-dive, I’ll ensure our next conversation is built around what you find most engaging.

About the lesson

My approach is Student-Centered and Communicative. I believe language is a tool for connection, not just a set of rules to memorize.
The 70/30 Rule: I aim for the student to speak 70% of the time. I act as a facilitator, providing the "scaffolding" (vocabulary and prompts) you need to express complex ideas.
Active Correction: I don’t interrupt your flow. I take notes on grammar and pronunciation during our chat and we review them together at the end of each session.

What Sets Me Apart

I don't just teach you "Textbook Spanish." I teach you Dynamic Spanish.
Cultural Bridge: I include idioms, slang, and cultural nuances that help you sound more natural and less like a translation app.
Empathy & Patience: I know how vulnerable it feels to make mistakes. My classroom is a "judgment-free zone."
Adaptability: I pivot the lesson in real-time based on your energy and interests. If a topic isn't clicking, we change it immediately.
