About Fayida
Hola a todos! I'm a Spanish tutor with a degree in French and Spanish. I've spent a lot of time in Latin America, having lived abroad in Mexico, Colombia, Cuba, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic! My degree included modules in translation and public service interpreting.
I have plenty of language-teaching experience; I spent a year teaching English in Mexico City at the Anglo-Mexican Foundation and I have also given private 1-1 classes, for which I prepared all of my own engaging material. Not only did my students improve their language skills, they gained confidence and had a lot of fun along the way!
I tailor my classes to the interests of the individual, and combine grammar points with modern and exciting material, using Spanish-language pop culture to bring the language to life for the student, so they can see what they are studying in a context that is relevant and interesting to them.
When I am not tutoring, I travel around Latin America as a tour guide, educating clients on Afro-Latino history and culture.
I very much look forward to working with you and getting your child speaking excellent Spanish!
