About Lizzi
Are you looking for help on a Spanish assignment? Or just wanting to learn Spanish? Hi! My name is Lizzi. I am a Spanish tutor and teacher! I have Guatemalan and Salvadoran heritage, so I bring authenticity to each of my lessons. I’ve been tutoring Spanish for 5 years, helping students of all levels grow in confidence and fluency. I’ve taught Spanish at both Lone Peak High School and Brigham Young University and have worked as a professional translator—both freelance and for my university. Recently, I worked a Spanish-speaking sales job in Puerto Rico, using the language daily in a fast-paced, real-world environment. FAQ:
What should I bring to lessons?
Bring a hard working attitude and a willingness to learn. (We get a lot done in an hour.) Also please have your homework or online textbooks ready-- and send them to me beforehand.
I’m not taking a Spanish class in school, can I still learn Spanish?
Of course! I tutor students ages 6 to 65 who are just learning Spanish for fun. Don’t worry, I have plenty of resources for you to help you learn.

My child is/I am very shy. How will this impact our lesson?
I love working with shy students because we can work on not only improving their Spanish, but improving their social skills and speaking skills. Learning Spanish means you are learning to become a better listener, a better writer, a better reader, and a better speaker--all in another language!
