About Ana Carolina

I am a Spanish tutor with experience in giving classes to adults with beginner and intermediate levels (I also have experience giving Brazilian Portuguese classes). I am fluent in Portuguese and in English, which makes it much easier to communicate with students and facilitates the learning process.

About the lesson

As a person that has learned 2 languages myself, I understand the struggles students have when learning a new language. My teaching methodology is dynamic, based on combining grammar, oral expression, and vocabulary. The student is the center of learning process and the tools we use in class (grammar, vocabulary...) are means to achieve a goal, not the goal itself. Moreover, I like my students to deal with error as something they can learn from.
I adapt my classes to each student's background, it is, level, goals and personal preferences, as a means to keep them motivated and interested in the class.

Ana is a very good teacher. She is empathetic and has a lot of patience (my phonetics is not the best). The classes are dynamic and now I am so motivated to learn Portuguese.

We met long time ago and she helped me to improve my Portuguese, and it was a really good experience with amazing results! I really recommend Ana as a teacher for intermediate and advanced levels (at least) for many reasons: she is patient with the student, she understands the needs and she always knows how to help (probably because she is a polyglot and has a large experience related with the world of languages). I hope you are as lucky as I was for learning Portuguese with her! Obrigado!

If you are looking for a Portuguese teacher who can empathize with the struggles of a foreign language learner, Ana Carolina is the right one! She has learned to speak English and Spanish fantastically well and knows what if feels like to be a beginner and the steps to become a fluent speaker. Also she has a great sense of humor and loves bossa nova (if you like music, that's a plus!).
She has helped me to improve my Spanish a lot when I moved to Spain and I've had the opportunity to see her teaching Portuguese to friends. I would totally recommend Ana! She's amazing!
