Super Tutor

Barbara is one of our best Spanish tutors. High-quality profile, qualifications verified, organised and responsive to lesson requests, and appreciated by their students.

About Barbara

Hello, my name is Barbara. I am a native Spanish speaker, thanks to my father being Uruguayan, and I have lived in the UK since I was a small child, so I am also fluent in English. I love the Spanish language and want to pass on this passion to my students. I am currently studying for a PGCE, which is helping me discover how learners learn best and understand how to teach Spanish effectively. I teach children aged 11-16, either starting from 0 or with some knowledge all the way through being able to listen, speak, write and read Spanish. I also offer classes for adults who are just beginning or want to improve their Spanish.

About the lesson

In our Spanish lessons, we will start by assessing your current level and understanding your goals. Together, we will create a personalised learning plan that suits your needs and help to reach your goals. For children, we can work on their school assignments weekly, using proven techniques to help them retain knowledge long term. Whether you are preparing for exams or simply wish to improve your conversational skills, my lessons are designed to be engaging and effective, ensuring you make consistent progress and enjoy the learning process, alongside expanding your cultural capital!

Perfect! I've had the pleasure of learning Spanish with Barbara for around 3 weeks now, and I couldn't be happier with the progress I've been making. Barbara is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and passionate about teaching. Every lesson is well-structured, engaging, and not too fast so I can take everything in.

If you're looking for a dedicated, supportive, and skilled tutor, I highly recommend Barbara (especially if you're new and think its too hard).

I started Spanish lessons with Barbara a few weeks ago, and she’s been an incredible teacher! She gives me fun homework, like watching Spanish movies, and has recommended some great books. Her patience and approach go beyond just teaching the language. I’m already speaking some Spanish and really enjoying our lessons—she’s made me feel completely comfortable from the start. I couldn’t recommend her enough!
