About Alexandra

I am a psychologist and a Spanish teacher.

I have experience in different administrative areas. However, I have had the opportunity to work with both American and international students. I have been a Spanish tutor for 4 years which has allowed me to constantly update myself with different teaching tools both virtual and face-to-face. In all my classes I usually apply my knowledge in neurolinguistic programming.

For virtual methodologies, I first like to adjust my goals around the age and perception channel of the student and thus adjust to their way of learning.
Nothing is difficult if you know how to teach it. For me, it is very important that the student's goal is met, I usually make different games or quizzes to grade in an entertaining way. However, grading is not to create a higher level of stress, but to apply knowledge that students sometimes ignore through dynamic practice.

About the lesson

I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the U.S. However, I love to share my knowledge with others! My passion is writing and grammar. Let's just say that I hope to be a writer someday and fill anyone who reads my novels with joy.

I have experience teaching Spanish to international students at my university since I had the opportunity to work as a student assistant and meet many people from different countries around the world. On the other hand, before starting my career, I had other opportunities in which I did different tutoring based on subjects related to grammar, literature, and even psychology. However, I can offer tutoring related to primary and secondary school subjects.

Why a tutor? This question is easy to answer, as we live in an age where more and more people are scattered. A study in psychology points out that sometimes students fail to complete their assignments, maintain their concentration or even stay motivated due to an avoidance mechanism towards a negative moment. These moments are related to the stress, anxiety, and frustration that a person may experience when completing assignments. Sometimes, we underestimate ourselves so much that we think that "something" is too big for us, and that is when motivation and interest are lost. That is why a tutor can become that necessary impulse so that the person can comply with the guidelines. But, why? Well... let's say that a person's eyes only see one perspective of the situation. However, if two people analyze the same situation they can come to a more objective conclusion and help that person who needs motivation and understanding.

On the other hand, I have knowledge of different applications that can be useful depending on what is being learned for a creative and dynamic learning. My schedule is quite flexible and can be adjusted according to what the person needs.
