About Rafael
I am Venezuelan Spanish native teacher with more than 12 years of experience teaching English as a foreign language and 2 years teaching Spanish as a foreign language. I am a short stories published writer. I am highly qualified to teach Spanish, English, World Literature and Culture. I love to do cycling, going to the gym, listening to music, reading, going out with friends and to explore about new cultures. I love coffee and sushi. I have taught in Venezuela, Colombia, and India so I have been working in international contexts with students of different nationalities.

Techniques: The language is being tackled by teaching the skill, individually where grammar is a small part of is once grammar is not the aim os the language but communication is.
Oral skills: for development of oral skills the students will be provided with visual-written (image, paragraph, video, film) stimuli where he/she can describe it.
Written skills: the student will be provided with the explanation on how to write a type of text (letter, email, message, card, porte, folio) or any other formal/informal written text following the appropriate structure.
Listening skills: the teacher will provide formal forms such as DELE listening examination where in a very well structured examination the student can develop listening skills in an appropriate way.
Reading skills: the teacher will teach how to do reading comprehension by using different techniques like scanning, skimming, levels and models of reading.
Material: the material provided will follow the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages Learning, the Instituto Cervantes Standards Common Core, DIALANG and ACTFL.
Aim: the aim of the class is to learn about the target culture (Spanish speaking countries culture) by using the Spanish Language as a mean of communication.
Qualifications: B.Ed in English, Diploma in Spanish Language Teaching, Specialization in teaching of the Spanish language (in progress) Diploma in world literature, Master TEFL/TESOL, Master's degree in applied linguistics to Spanish as a foreign language (in progress), Master's degree in educational management (in progress)
