About Giuliana

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina I grew up in a family of teachers, which made me interested in teaching from a very young age. I am a graduate of Journalism, specializing in audiovisual communications. I have been involved in different roles at schools and universities since then.

Currently, I am living in London, where I've been teaching Spanish to children with autism and learning difficulties for over two years. I've experienced firsthand how draining and challenging it is for most of the students to be in a lesson that seems endless, with lots of distractions and interruptions. This lead me to create materials adapted to their way of learning to make the journey more exciting for them.

About the lesson

I like to be flexible and to have a good understanding of what your goals are: if you're just curious about learning a new language or if you need to achieve a certain academic level. So firstly we will assess what the best route is for you.

The lessons are aimed to last 50 minutes each, but it will depend on your availability and interests. For example, if you already have some knowledge and want to improve your pronunciation, we might be able to take 30 minutes of full conversation instead. However, it might be also necessary to have a vocabulary revision beforehand.

I will provide you with all the materials needed: a vocabulary book that we will use in each lesson, one slide for each online session and one homework sheet to complete in your own time.

Although most of my experience is with children between the ages of 11 and 16 my lessons are designed to fit into any age group.

Giuliana is brilliant! Gentle, but honest - she'll tell you where you're going wrong, but she's also such a great encourager. I'm particularly grateful for her on the days when I'm feeling tired and don't feel like speaking Spanish, because she still finds ways to encourage me and help motivate me to keep going.

I have worked with Giuliana and observed her teaching Spanish. She is an excellent teacher. She is patient and caring. She makes the learning fun and accessible to all. She really is first class and got autistic students learning and remembering Spanish. I highly recommend her.
