About Faye

I have been passionate about Spanish since adolescence, leading me to earn a B.A. in Spanish Studies and an M.A. in Hispanic Linguistics. Over 7 years, I have taught students from beginners to advanced learners, helping them develop fluency, comprehension, and cultural insight. My approach emphasizes personalized instruction, patience, and interactive learning techniques, ensuring students feel confident and supported while progressing at their own pace. I focus on balancing technical mastery of grammar and vocabulary with cultural immersion, encouraging students to practice conversation, reading, and writing in meaningful contexts. I integrate multimedia, literature, and real-life examples to make lessons engaging and practical. Beyond teaching, I explore Spanish literature, film, and culture, bringing real-world relevance to my lessons. Teaching Spanish is deeply rewarding because I witness students gain language skills, cultural appreciation, and the confidence to communicate effectively in Spanish, creating a foundation for lifelong learning and cross-cultural connection.

About the lesson

Spanish lessons are most effective when learners connect language with practical use and cultural context. My sessions cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, and listening comprehension. I emphasize interactive speaking exercises, role-playing, and exposure to Spanish literature and media to help students communicate confidently and accurately. Each lesson is designed to engage curiosity, reinforce learning, and build consistent progress.

Beginners focus on foundational vocabulary, greetings, sentence structure, and pronunciation. Intermediate learners enhance grammar, conversational skills, and cultural understanding. Advanced learners work on essay writing, literary interpretation, professional communication, and advanced fluency.
