About Alba
Hola! I am a Spanish girl who just moved to Calgary with a Working Holiday Visa. I am a journalist and political scientist by profession but I have also worked for 5 years as a Spanish tutor for different levels and ages. I also speak English, Catalan and intermediate Portuguese.

My motto when teaching is: practice, practice and practice. I like starting every lesson with a bit of theory but I try to switch quickly to the practice because it is what makes the student really understand how and when to apply each and every rule. Also, when it applies and we have enough time, I usually like finishing my lessons with one or two more entertaining exercises so that the student can unplug a little bit the 'studying mode' and keep learning and practicing in a more informal way.
