About Alexandra
I am a student at the university of Edinburgh studying BSc Biotechnology. I originally was schooled in South Africa where I played water polo and swam at a very high level, having played for the South African U21 National team. I now play for the Edinburgh University first team.

Since moving to Scotland, I have noticed that there is a lack of experience and knowledge in the sport- mainly due to it being uncommon in many schools. Having been taught my whole life by international players and having participated in water polo camps in Croatia and at Princeton University in the USA, I aim to impart some of the knowledge and techniques I have learnt on players at any skill level.
My lessons take the form of basic techniques, exercises for strength, exercises for injuring prevention, shooting improvement and any other areas the student finds they struggle with or want to learn more about.
Since water polo facilities in Edinburgh are hard to come by and all gyms and pools require memberships, I mainly work online through video chats. One on one land training and advice is also doable, but in the facility of my apartment.
I will also be able to draft training programmes for strength and conditioning as well as swim sets for both speed and endurance.
