About Filippo
The water has been my second home for as long as I can remember. From my years as a competitive swimmer training across Italy, the US, and England, I’ve gained a global perspective on different coaching styles and techniques. This international background allows me to bring a versatile, world-class approach to every lesson.
I have a natural gift for connecting with children and young learners, making the pool a place of fun and safety. My experience teaching at the Athlone School for the Blind in Bellville has given me a deep patience and specialized skill set for working with disabled students, ensuring that swimming is accessible to everyone, regardless of their starting point.
I am currently finalizing my STA certification and already enjoy tutoring dedicated students. Whether you are looking for high-level technical drills or a gentle introduction to the water, I combine my competitive edge with a compassionate, adaptive teaching style to help you succeed.

From tiny paddlers to high-performance racers, I welcome swimmers of every background. I follow the STA international standards to formally assess your level, giving us a clear, professional roadmap of your progress. From there, it’s a team effort: we’ll target the specific "weak links" in your stroke and build a custom plan to turn them into strengths, ensuring every lesson moves you closer to the swimmer you want to be.
