About John

I've been working with software for over ten years. I've worked on shiny websites in modern web languages and hidden "backend" applications that had to scale to massive sizes. During that time I've had the opportunity to use my knowledge at large corporations, tiny startups, and my own freelancing. During that time I've had the opportunity to apply my own education, as well as self-teach the things they don't teach you in school. I would love to share my knowledge with you!

About the lesson

- Computer Science is a wide and complex field, so I tailor my tutoring to your needs.
- Typically we will have an initial meet to see where you are, where you want to be, and whether we're a good fit. Depending on your needs our time can be as simple as debugging sessions or as sophisticated as learning a new language.
- My superpower is to take complex things and break them down into simple pieces.

John was my group leader for a while. He has great depth of knowledge, and an ability to break it down into bite sized bits that are easier to understand. He is strong at asking you questions to help guide you to an understanding when you are close or pose information that will help you get to the understanding!
