About Emily
My name is Emily Via, a current PhD candidate and instructor of sociology. I received both my Bachelor's and Master's degree in sociology, with a focus on the sociology of gender and sexuality. As an instructor, I have loved making connections with my students and seeing their understanding of sociological concepts develop over time. Teaching is a passion of mine, and I am excited to take that passion further in one-on-one tutoring sessions.

A tutoring session with me may look like talking about and through a concept to understand and explore its dimensionality and complexity. As a current university instructor, I understand the demands of university-level curriculum. This also means my lessons are best suited for those in high school or college studying sociology or other social sciences.
