About Allison
I am currently a student at Central Michigan University studying Communication Sciences and Disorders. I am interested in going to graduate school for Speech-Language Pathology. I also have three years of experience in a K-8 school. I worked in a fifth grade classroom as a paraprofessional and was a long term substitute teacher in a sixth grade math and science classroom.

I base my lessons off of what a child needs. I focus on the basics of the topic first, then we can build off of that. We need to break down the lesson completely and start from scratch to see where the problem is. I work with students as young as kindergarten and would be comfortable working with students up to freshmen or sophomore year of high school. I think being compassionate and focused is important. Most of the time the child will not tell you what is wrong or where they are confused because they do not know. It is important to me to pay close attention to behavior and learning styles.
