About Ava
I am a passionate Spanish tutor with 14+ years of experience teaching High School and College students. During my teaching journey, I have successfully guided around 150 students toward improving their language skills and reaching their academic goals. I believe that every student has the ability to learn Spanish when they receive patient guidance, consistent encouragement, and lessons that suit their learning style.
My teaching philosophy is built on understanding, practice, and confidence. I create lessons that are easy to follow while challenging students to grow step by step. My classes cover grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, and speaking through interactive activities, real-life conversations, and practical exercises. I encourage students to communicate as much as possible because using the language regularly builds confidence naturally.
To keep lessons interesting, I include cultural topics, short stories, videos, and everyday situations that help students understand how Spanish is spoken in real life. Regular revision, quizzes, and personalized feedback allow students to monitor their progress and strengthen their understanding.
One of my proudest achievements has been helping around 150 students improve their grades, communicate more confidently, and enjoy learning Spanish. Many students have overcome their fear of speaking and developed the confidence to express themselves comfortably.
My goal is to create a positive and motivating classroom where students enjoy learning, stay curious, and build strong Spanish language skills that will support them throughout their education and future careers.

I cultivate Positivity by celebrating achievements, building confidence, and motivating learners to embrace challenges.
My approach also includes integrating related subjects such as grammar, vocabulary expansion, and cultural understanding, which helps students connect the language to real-world applications. By combining structure, creativity, and encouragement, I aim to help students develop practical language skills, a deeper appreciation for Spanish, and the confidence to use the language in diverse situations.
