About Novaya

Over the last nine years, I’ve had the joy of teaching Spanish to over 150 students, most of whom are in high school or college. I believe that language learning is most effective when it’s relevant, personalized, and interactive. My tutoring sessions balance structured grammar lessons with practical exercises like conversation practice, listening to podcasts, and exploring cultural traditions. I encourage students to set achievable goals and celebrate every milestone to maintain motivation. For example, one student who initially struggled with pronunciation ended up leading a group presentation entirely in Spanish, which was a huge confidence boost. I am patient, encouraging, and dedicated to creating a positive learning atmosphere where mistakes are part of the learning process, and progress is celebrated. Together, we’ll build the skills you need to use Spanish confidently inside and outside the classroom.

Teaching with integrity means I focus on meaningful learning that goes beyond memorizing vocabulary or grammar rules—I want you to understand the language deeply and apply it in authentic situations. I offer honest, constructive feedback to help you improve steadily and feel proud of your progress.

Adaptability is key to keeping lessons effective and engaging—I adjust teaching methods, materials, and pace to fit your preferred learning style, whether that’s through conversation practice, grammar drills, cultural immersion, or creative projects. This student-focused philosophy guides all my tutoring efforts, fostering learners who not only gain knowledge but also find joy and empowerment in their studies.
