About Nishieka
I'm a patient and understanding teacher. Every student learns at their own pace and there's no fixed time span within which tasks need to be mastered. Classical music requires time and patience and for you to nurture and train your voice.
This is a journey that is long but rewarding. Classical sangeet doesn't just give you a melodious voice or a good sense of suur. It boosts your mental health and strengthens your mind and broadens your outlook on life. It's helped me have a better rationale, think clearly and approach situations with a steady head. Classical music can boost your memory and make you more creative and sharpen your mind. I would like to add that having a classical base makes your voice so dynamic and versatile in nature that singing other forms of music becomes simple.
I have taught young children via an NGO and I'm still a student myself; I'll find your mistakes and difficulties quite similar to what I have only recently solved.
I promise to train you in hindustani classical sangeet to the best of my abilities and bring out your full potential.

About the lesson

Languages in which the lesson is available :

I'll start with the basics on harmonium (7 swurs, alankars, suur sangat) and taal. This will be the foundation course.
After this, we can move on to the complexities of a raag (aaroh avroh pakad, bandish, sargam, taan)
Once we've established the basic raag, we'll go into the details (aalaap, bolaalaap, drut, dhamaar)
Along with this, I'll be teaching some light music, classical bollywood songs, related ghazals, etc. Since every song made is ultimately derived from a base raag or a combination of raags, this will help give you a broader picture of it all.
