About Barry

I want you to succeed in Chemistry, and success needs both subject knowledge and exam technique. As qualified teacher and exam board examiner, I can tailor your lessons to cover both of these points.
I have taught at some of England's top independent schools and also have 10 years' experience as an A-level examiner. I can point out to you the pitfalls of certain questions, as well as how to answer without wasting time giving information that is not needed.
I am an enthusiastic chemist who enjoys teaching. I am able to put across the key points of a subject in a way that is accessible to each student.
I already have significant tutoring experience with students at GCSE and A-level, and have helped students achieve their goals, including admission to university courses in Medicine and Dentistry.

As Head of Science, I observed Barry to be a skilled and dedicated Chemistry teacher. His knowledge of Chemistry and his pedagogical skills are both very good.
