About Peyton
I’m an English educator, writer, and drum corps leader who has spent years working with students across middle school, high school, and college classrooms. I currently teach English in middle school and have extensive experience tutoring advanced academic writing, literary analysis, and argument-driven essays at the high school and college level. My background in English literature and education means I don’t just help students “fix” papers—I help them understand how strong writing works, from developing original theses to using evidence thoughtfully and finding their own voice.
As someone who balances teaching, academic research, and leadership roles in music education, I value discipline, creativity, and clear communication. I bring those same values into tutoring, creating structured but supportive sessions where students feel challenged, capable, and confident tackling complex texts and college-level writing.
