About Drew

I’m Drew! I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and Engineering in 2018. My college career was very pivotal in my development as an independent learner. I learned how to collaborate with others, complete assignments before deadlines, and manage my time in order to get everything done. I was able to graduate in 4 years with a solid engineering 3.3 GPA while tutoring on two different websites part time, working as a student programmer for the university, and maintaining a mobile app with my cofounder that obtained over 10K downloads. I have been tutoring since 2016 and I have earned over 1000 positive reviews on many different tutoring sites! I have tutored writing, Computer Science fundamentals, C#, Java, JavaScript, C++, C, HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, React, Ionic, Android Development, and much, much more. I am a Senior Full Stack Engineer who has proven development experience at several companies with 7+ years of experience. I am an experienced leader, mentor and eager to help!

About the lesson

I have a very collaborative and energetic tutoring style. I like interacting using audio and video when tutoring remotely, drawing pictures, coding with the student, and making sure they understand the material. I often try to simplify subjects and ensure the student understands what I am teaching. I ask a lot of questions and try to be as engaging as possible. I also like to find as many outside resources as possible that students can use to learn even faster.

I love teaching, and I love helping people achieve their goals. With coaching, people are much more effective at reaching their full potential. I am looking forward to teaching you.
