About Alexandra
I am a photographer, cinematographer, and college senior studying Film and Psychology. I've been a practicing photographer for over 8 years now. I have experience in analog (film) and digital street photography, portraiture, landscape photography, event photography, and alternative processes. I've loved photography for a long time; nothing brings me more joy than teaching it to people.

My approach to photography instruction involves both the technical and theoretical elements. This means you will get an education more akin to an undergraduate degree in the field, as opposed to a quick YouTube-style overview. Each session we will begin by sharing current work in the field that we find inspiring. Then we will connect it to previous photographic works and then get into our lesson plan for the day. This might look like understanding photography basics: f-stop, ISO, shutter speed, learning lighting setups for portraiture, guidelines like the rule of thirds, etc. These lessons are for beginners of any ages!
