About Carrie

I am a retired Senior Instructor from Johnson & Wales University, where I spent over 20 years teaching a variety of courses from Product Identification and Storeroom Operations to Meat Cutting and Traditional European Cuisine. I held multiple certifications for Advanced Wines and Spirits along with acting as Faculty Advisor for the Wine, Beer, and Spirits club on campus for 9 years. Safety and sanitation will always be at the forefront of my teaching, along with creating a caring and immersive environment for my students. There is much more I have been able to accomplish after retirement that I am looking forward to sharing with my new students. Individual or group.

About the lesson

Let’s talk food! After 2 degrees and 20 years of teaching Culinary Arts, being a foodie is in my blood. I would love the opportunity to share my love of all types of cuisines and techniques to a learner interested in the world of food. With a few techniques essential to any cuisine we can take in the world. I have coached two juniors for the series “Chopped”, created recipes for major corporations and lead many corporate team building cooking events. I can build a specific set of modules based on what you want to learn and we can do it together!
