About Jerry
I have been engaged in a lifelong pursuit of mathematics knowledge and proficiency. Since the 7th grade (1967) I have known that learning and understanding mathematics was my talent. I have spent over 55 years following my passion. I have taught middle school, high school, college and university mathematics. I taught adult education night classes in mathematics and statistics for over 24 years, helping "parents, business owners, factory managers, and other adults" the mathematics they needed to know to advance their careers. I use mathematics every time I design and build another construction project. I have learned the many connections between different mathematics subjects and use those connections to strengthen student learning. I have assisted dozens of students to pass Praxis and GRE exams. I personally scored perfect scores on the ACT and GRE Math exams over the years. I have earned four college/university degrees in Pre-Engineering, Math/Business, Statistics, and Education.

During 13 years of teaching mathematics I received "excellence in teaching awards" on three separate occasions. In 2014 I received a SC state award for excellence in teaching. Freshman students repeatedly and consistently mentioned my name, "Mr. Wright", as their favorite professor on campus to the college President.
