About Rethabile
Hi there Superstar!
I am Coach Thabi and I have been a playing Netball since I was 8 years old, all the way until High School and have never played in a B-Team before (crazy right?) - unless one of their players got injured of course, then I wouldn't mind lending a hand, because that's what teammates are there for right?
Working with players and developing them, especially during COVID has not been easy. I Coach at Robert Hicks Primary School, (where I was awarded the Best Player Award) and it has truly been an honour to watch a 12-year-old girl, go from not being able to catch a ball, to springing up in the air and catching it gracefully! Moments like that make Coaching worthwhile.
This is my 2nd year Coaching at RHS and I'm loving every minute of it.
Not only have these young girls learnt netball lessons, but life lessons too, which is why I fell in love with this sport. They have grown to love it too and have also learned how to respect each other, discipline, time management, leadership, and so much more!
And you can too. No matter how "bad" you think you are, I can guarantee that after the first few lessons with me - you'll be playing like the superstar you really are!

My Coaching style has a focused, respectful, disciplined & light-hearted environment, where players can still make jokes and fool around, but also be able to focus on their drills and skills.
My lessons are aimed at players who preferably know the basic rules of Netball, such as handling/replay, stepping, offsides and the 3-second rule. I mainly teach in English as I coach at an English speaking primary school. My home language is Setswana and I know the basics of Afrikaans, though I coach in English.
A typical lesson lasts about an hour to two hours, depending on the level of skill the player(s) has. I also want the players to have fun while pushing themselves to achieve greatness.
