About

Im Alysha, a second year student at School of the Arts Singapore. I am interested in teaching as feel like its a good experience for me and Ienjoy teaching younger kids so they can develop a stronger skill set and have an insight on education experiences from someone close to their age. I want students to feel comfortable approach me for help, should they need it.

About the lesson

- assessing the student's current knowledge and understanding of the subject. This helps me identify strengths and areas that need improvement.

-together with the student, I set achievable goals for each session. This gives a clear direction and motivates them to work towards specific outcomes.

- I use interactive methods, such as discussions, games, and real-life examples, to make learning enjoyable and relatable. This helps students engage with the material more effectively.

- Each session is tailored to the student’s learning style and pace. I adapt my teaching methods—whether it's through visual aids, hands-on activities, or practice exercises—based on what works best for them.

- I foster an open environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. This promotes deeper understanding and critical thinking.

- I provide constructive feedback throughout our sessions, highlighting what the student does well and where they can improve. This helps them build confidence and refine their skills.

- I emphasize the importance of practice. We often work through exercises together and then I encourage independent practice to reinforce what we've learned.

- At the end of each session, we review what we've covered and reflect on progress. This helps consolidate learning and allows for adjustments in future sessions.

Overall, my goal is to empower students to take ownership of their learning while building their confidence in the subject and still a current student myself want to encourage them to be motivated to continue their education with perseverance.
