About Vusumuzi Themba
Hi prospective learner, I'm Mr. Sibanda, I have been in your shoes before, I understand why you need help with Maths or Science, some topics kind of need somebody else other than your school teacher to explain. This can give you a different perspective on the topic and possibly a different method to solve the problem. I sometimes needed extra help with some topics in mathematics and science myself, so that is totally normal.
I am a High school teacher, at college during my teacher training, I majored in the teaching of Science and Mathematics and obtained my teaching qualification. Currently I am busy with my BSc. Education Honours in Physics.
I have over 15 years teaching experience and I have produced tangible quality results over the years. I have produced, doctors, engineers etc.
I can definitely help you improve your grades in mathematics and physical sciences if you are interested.

I am a teacher who is easily approachable and friendly. I enjoy breaking down subject content to the level of the learner. I also find it useful to use real life examples of some of the theoretical concepts for easy understanding.
In terms of pedagogy, I put the child at the centre of my teaching and I encourage discovery learning. I act as a guide, I usually want to operate from the learner's cognitive level.How do I do that? Simple, if its a topic I first administer a baseline assessment after which I do a diagnostic analysis to establish strengths and weaknesses.I also encourage my learners to use a variety of methods (algorithms) to get to the answer.
I am 100% proficient in English Language.
My lessons are quite interactive, I need the learner to participate actively and so I tend to ask thought provoking questions in the subject until they can be able to deduce meaning in what the lesson objectives set out to achieve.
I usually teach FET (Grade 10 to 12) Physical Sciences & Mathematics. However I can also assist with Senior Phase (Grade 7 - 9) Mathematics and Natural Sciences.
