About Dario

Hello! I'm Dario, your future guide through the delicious world of Italian cooking. My journey into the culinary arts began in my grandmother's kitchen in a small Italian village close to Rome where the aroma of fresh basil and simmering tomato sauce was always in the air at the end of summer, and It was there, learning to roll gnocchi by hand and listening to tales of old family recipes, that my passion for cooking was kindled.

For the past 20 years, I've been turning that passion into a career, cooking in diverse settings from high-energy city restaurants to busy, luxurious hotel kitchens. Along the way, I've met incredible people, from aspiring chefs to home cooks, each eager to learn and share in the joy of cooking.

One of my favorite moments was teaching a retired engineer who had never cooked before. Within a few months, he was hosting dinner parties, showcasing dishes we had explored together. His excitement and pride in sharing his new skills with friends and family reminded me why I love teaching.

In my classes, we focus on hands-on learning and having fun in the kitchen. Whether we're making a simple pasta dish or a complex risotto, my goal is to make cooking approachable and enjoyable. Each lesson is tailored to fit your interests and dietary needs, ensuring you learn to create dishes you're excited to serve.

I also place a strong emphasis on selecting quality ingredients and understanding their origins, which I believe is the foundation of great cooking. We'll explore local markets (virtually, of course), learn to pick the best produce, and discuss how to support sustainable practices in our cooking routines.

So, whether you're a beginner eager to learn the basics or an experienced cook looking to dive deeper into Italian cuisine, join me! About the lesson

As an Italian chef with 20 years of experience, I’ve experienced every type of kitchen from fast-paced city restaurants to quiet, luxurious hotels. My cooking classes are all about hands-on fun and learning together. We spend about 90 minutes to two hours each session, where you'll get to chop, stir, and taste as we go along.

I welcome everyone, no matter your cooking level. We'll explore the essentials of Italian cuisine using straightforward, quality ingredients, going through their roots and what the mean in Italian tradition.

My goal is for you to leave each lesson feeling confident and ready to impress with your new cooking skills. So, let’s keep things relaxed, enjoy the process, and have some fun in the kitchen!
