About Darren
My qualifications include a BA (Hons) degree in media production and a master's degree in scriptwriting. Over 25+ years spent working in areas such as scriptwriting for television, television production, academia, self-publishing and numerous large organisations writing items for promotion and marketing, from draft to production to dissemination. We can all be creative and apply the skill if required, sometimes it just needs to be identified for a project and set free! That is where I can help as I have done exactly that with numerous students previously. I believe in encouraging you to be enthusiastic in applying creativity as that maximises the return!

Lesson length typically an hour. Aged 16+ either online or in-person if in Perthshire, Scotland! I have experience of lecturing in further and higher education on subjects including creative writing, scriptwriting, media production and communications for public relations. In addition, have recently been working with international students on their personal statements, forming part of their applications to UK universities. I believe in differentiated instruction, with clear engagement and the student feeling both informed and enthused. I prefer clear objectives and to work collaboratively at a pace comfortable for the student.
