Screenwriting Workshop----Storytelling Objective: Turn imagination into words and visuals. Immerse in the setting. Think about the sights, sounds and feelings. Watch other movies in your genre or clips on YouTube. Show, don’t tell. Write dialogue and character backstories. Write cinematically: Learn to include camera angles—close-up, wide shot, crane shot, dolly shot. Read your scenes with other students or videotape them on a phone or iPad.
