About Nurlinah

Hello! My name is Linah Jabir, and I am a passionate and dedicated History tutor based in the Klang Valley. I hold a Bachelor of Marketing (Hons.) from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM) and have consistently demonstrated academic excellence throughout my studies, including being awarded the Dean’s List three times. Most notably, I achieved A grades in all History subjects during my secondary school years, and I’m excited to share the same strategies and mindset that led to my success. As a tutor, I strive to create a supportive, engaging, and motivating learning environment. I believe that History is not just about memorizing facts — it’s about understanding the bigger picture, making connections, and developing critical thinking skills. About the lesson

My Approach to Tutoring
I believe that every student has a unique learning style, so I tailor each lesson to suit their pace, understanding, and learning goals. My teaching approach is concept-based and student-centered — I focus on helping students grasp historical events, connections, and significance rather than just memorizing facts. I use visual aids, timelines, mind maps, and exam-based questions to make learning more interactive and effective.

Teaching Methodology
My classes usually begin with a quick review of previous topics, followed by in-depth exploration of new content using engaging explanations and real-life examples. I emphasize critical thinking, structured answering techniques (especially for KBAT questions), and continuous practice through past-year papers. I also provide summary notes and tips to help with revision and retention.

Lesson Duration
Each lesson typically lasts 1 to 1.5 hours, depending on the student's level and focus area. I also offer shorter sessions for quick revision or Q&A.

Qualifications and Experience
I am a Bachelor of Marketing graduate from Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), with a consistent record of academic excellence including three Dean’s List awards. I scored A in all History subjects throughout school and have experience in content creation and tutoring secondary school students in various subjects, especially History.
