About Scarlett
I am an award-winning science communicator, currently employed at the University of Cambridge in the School of Psychiatry and the National Space Centre, and previously at the School of Education at the University of New South Wales (UNSW).
I hold a Bachelor of Science degree (with Distinction) in Molecular and Cell Biology and an MPhil (Research) in Biological Sciences (Molecular Ecology & Genetics) from the University of New South Wales in Australia, where I was fortunate to receive numerous recognitions, awards and scholarships in recognition of my academic achievements.
I have worked in sectors such as the space sector, education sector and the health sector in a range of roles as an designer, educator and communicator.
Additional experience includes volunteering as a STEM Ambassador and I have been a mentor in programs like DeepMind x Stemettes.

As a tutor, I employ an interactive and engaging approach tailored to each student's needs and learning style. My methodology integrates visual tools and creative examples to enhance understanding and retention, ensuring that complex concepts are comprehensible and memorable.
I focus on tutoring GCSE level and Undergraduate level. I am patient and empathetic, and having taken IGCSEs/GCSEs (receiving 7A*s & 3As) myself, I always teach in a supportive way that can assist in the best outcomes for students. With my diverse experience as a casual academic at the university level, a private tutor for undergraduates, and a facilitator of workshops and educational events for students ranging from primary school to college, I bring a wealth of pedagogical expertise to my sessions.
Typically, my lessons span an hour, allowing for comprehensive coverage, covering exam techniques, content solidifying and tips & tricks for memory retention.
