About Marihan

I am an experienced Science and Biology teacher with over four years of classroom teaching experience, working with students from primary through secondary/high-school level.

I hold a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics and an MSc in Healthcare Management. My academic background, combined with my teaching experience, has given me a strong foundation in biological and health sciences as well as experience communicating scientific concepts clearly to students of different ages and academic levels.

Throughout my teaching career, I have worked with students with different abilities and learning needs. I believe that struggling with a subject does not mean a student cannot succeed; sometimes the concept simply needs to be explained in a different way. I am patient, organized, and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions.

My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more confident in their understanding of Science and Biology.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is centered on understanding rather than memorization. I break down complex Science and Biology topics into clear, manageable steps and use real-life examples, visuals, questions, and discussion to help students understand how and why things work.

A typical lesson begins with a quick review of the student’s current understanding and any areas they are struggling with. We then work through the topic step by step, followed by questions or activities to check understanding. I often ask students to explain concepts back in their own words, as this helps identify gaps and strengthens long-term understanding. For exam preparation, lessons can focus more heavily on revision, practice questions, and weaker topics.

What sets me apart is my combination of classroom teaching experience and academic background in science and health. I have over four years of experience teaching Science and Biology, including working with students of different academic abilities and learning needs. I hold a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics and an MSc in Healthcare Management.

I offer English-language Science and Biology lessons for primary, middle, and secondary/high-school students (Grades 1–12). Lessons can be adapted for regular academic support, homework help, difficult topics, revision, or exam preparation.

Most importantly, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions. Science becomes much easier when you understand the story behind it instead of trying to memorize a textbook.
